Mineski Overcomes LGD Gaming Two Times in a Row to Become DAC 2018 Champions

Mineski managed to win their first major tournament and second Pro Circuit event this season – in the grand finals of Dota 2 Asia Championship the team under Mushi’s command managed to win against the Chinese powerhouse LGD Gaming with the score of 3-2, receiving $370,000 in prize money and 750 DPC Points.

Mineski qualified for the event through the Southeast Asia Qualifier. In the group stage they were seeded into Group B, where they placed second with the 6-1 score. In the playoffs they defeated OpTic Gaming (2-0), Vici Gaming (2-1) and LGD Gaming (2-0). In the Grand Finals Mineski faced LGD Gaming once again – this time the best-of-five series concluded with the 3-2 score in favor of Mushi and co – Mineski win their first major tournament and second DPC event this season. This victory granted them 4th place in the DPC rankings with 3150 points.

Dota 2 Asia Championship was held on March 29 – April 7 at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in the capital of China. It featured 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 1,500 Pro Circuit Points. First the teams were placed in two round-robin groups with best-of-one series. Then top two teams from each group advanced to the double-elimination playoffs bracket.
